Procedure for registered participants at the 2021 Marathon Beneva de Montréal
You have until Monday, June 28, 2021 to indicate your choice between the following two options, after which we will automatically apply option 2, which is to defer your registration to the 2022 edition of the Marathon Beneva de Montréal. It will not be possible to request a refund afterwards.
Option 1 – A refund of the registration fee, including processing fees
You can request a full refund of your registration. We have finally decided to include the processing fee in the refund, which we had originally excluded from our policy. The amount will be deposited on the credit card you used to make your purchase before July 25, 2021.
Option 2 – A deferral of your registration to the 2022 edition of the Event at no charge
Here is the procedure to follow to select your choice:
- Log in to your Race Roster account created during registration
- From the event list you are registered for, select the Marathon Beneva de Montréal
- Click on Modify Registration
- Answer the question and save your answer
Here is the timeline for refunds and transfers of registrations:
Monday, June 28 – Last day to make a choice.
Week of July 5 – All refunds are issued by the registration platform. Please allow 7-10 days for the transaction to appear on your credit card statement.
By July 25, you will have received your refund.
Transfers will be made automatically when you answer the question. You will receive an email confirming your choice (between refund or transfer) in the week of June 28.
The value of the donation made in exchange for the event’s medal or shirt, as well as the carbon offset, is 100% refundable.
If you have made a donation to the Tel-jeunes Foundation, the Institute for Research in Immunology and Cancer of the Université de Montréal or the Jacques-de Champlain Foundation, we encourage you to maintain this donation, despite the cancellation of the event. To support your gesture, the organization, with the collaboration of Beneva, will make an additional donation of the same amount as the retained donations.
If you wish to have your donation refunded (excluding transaction fees), please make your request by June 28 by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. Please note that participants who choose to transfer their registration will also have their donation transferred to the 2022 Marathon Beneva de Montréal.
If you have registered multiple participants in the same transaction, you must answer the question for each registration. In your Race Roster account, after selecting the Marathon Beneva de Montréal, you will see all the entries linked to your Race Roster account. You can then click on modify the registration for each participant.
If you have registered someone else and that person has requested their registration via the email that Race Roster sent them and this person has created a Race Roster account, that person must answer the question themselves via their own Race Roster account.
Refunds will be issued to the credit card used for the purchase. It is not possible to refund to another card.
If you purchased the optional FanShield insurance (RegShield) at the time of registration and you request a refund of your registration, the insurance will not be refunded as stated in the Marathon Beneva de Montréal registration policy.
If you defer your registration to the 2022 edition of the event, the insurance policy will remain in effect under the same conditions.
