AbbottWMM Wanda Age Group World Championships
How it works ?
At each qualifying event in which the participant competes, the participant will collect points. The number of point is calculated based on the participant’s time, age, gender and age group ranking at the event. All the details of the calculation are available here.
The athlete’s two best performances during the qualifying period are counted to calculate their overall score. The qualifying period for the 2023 edition is from January 1 to December 31, 2022.
Participants aged 40 and over on race day are eligible to compete in the AbbottWMM Wanda Age Group World Championships.
The age groups are as follows for both men and women:
40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+

The Marathon Beneva de Montréal course is measured and certified by Athletics Canada. The times achieved can therefore be used to qualify for other events such as the Boston Marathon.
