National Cup
The concept
The National Cup, presented in collaboration with the Fédération québécoise d’athlétisme, is a 4-person team competition. The events of the competition are the Marathon, the Half Marathon, the 10 km and the 5 km Sports Experts. Teams must have a representative in each event. The time of each participant is used to determine the rankings.
The rankings are calculated in two different ways:
- Time classification = cumulative time of each participant (t1+t2+t3+t4)
- Ranking by points = cumulative points of each participant from the official scoring table allowing to balance the performances according to distance, gender and age (p1+p2+p3+p4)
In the near future (2022 or 2023), athletes representing various invited national teams will line up at the starting line of the National Cup. Until then, make your mark on this new team competition and be part of the history of the Marathon Beneva de Montréal.
Eligibility
The National Cup is open to everyone. Whether it is with family, friends, colleagues or running club members, the organization invites you to compose your team of 4 (men, women or mixed) and to take part in the very first edition of the National Cup.
In collaboration with and in support of the Fédération québécoise d’athlétisme, registration includes a license for each participant of the team. The license is mandatory to participate in this competition.
Runners already licensed at the time of registration will be able to deduct $10 from their National Cup registration fee. A verification will be done at the time of the bib pick-up.
Included in the registration
When registering for a team at the National Cup, each participant will receive the racer’s kit associated with the event in which they are participating. The content of the runner’s kit is detailed here.
The participant will also receive a license from the Fédération québécoise d’athlétisme which will be issued the week before the Marathon Beneva de Montréal and will be valid for the end of the road race season.

Information and details about the races are available on the specific pages for each race.
