Hello again athletes!
Today, I’m giving you my third tips for excelling at the Montréal Beneva Marathon.
When I first started training for my first marathon, I always ran alone, during my daughter’s naps. I trained in any way I could, without following a plan and, above all, without the magical feeling of working less hard when running with a group of friends.
The day I joined a club, everything suddenly became easier, more enjoyable and more motivating. My training became structured. The advice and encouragement of my coach pushed me to push myself. Doing my hard sessions alongside runners of my level gave me wings.
In one year, I went from a recreational runner to a dedicated athlete, and I improved my personal best by almost 15 minutes. Now I’m preparing to start the marathon on September 25 in the elite field.
